Skroot (‘short-cut’ in Polish) develops and manufacturers measurement systems that reduce risk and improve logistical efficiency in biomanufacturing. This is accomplished with contact-free sensor systems that are embedded in and on single use vessels such as flasks, bags, and bioreactors. The continuous process data can be visualized using a cloud-enabled dashboard and gives operators, scientists, and managers an unprecedented level of monitoring and control.
Skroot was founded in 2018 and continues to be headquartered in Ames, Iowa. Its foundational patents were licensed from research completed in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at Iowa State University.
