Job Summary:
The Software Developer internship will be exposed to all areas of software development including design, development, peer review, testing, implementation, and maintenance. Developer will be responsible for creating new applications as well as enhancing and maintaining existing applications. The target application stack consists of ASP/SQL Server operating on Windows and utilizes languages/technologies including ASP, MVC, RAZOR, SQL, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, XML, and WebApi.
Essential Job Requirements:
Must be working towards a Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related major. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, industry knowledge, professionalism, and the ability to be a positive team player. This internship can be located out of the Ames or Sheffield Iowa office. Remote work is not permitted.
Job Duties:
- Developer will put time into all areas of software development including design, development, peer review, testing, implementation, and maintenance
- Analyze requirements and work with team on application design and development
- Participate in design, documentation and code peer reviews
- Provide application on-call support
- Accept and complete projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Document status and keep team informed of progress
- Follow application performance, security and coding standards
- Other duties as assigned
