General Description: Responsible for preventative maintenance and service needs for fleet vehicles and some farm equipment.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Mechanical experience with a preferred agricultural background. This individual must have exceptional organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and present the company in a professional manner while having good customer service skills.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing maintenance and repairs on Summit equipment. This may include but not limited to the following:
- On-road passenger vehicles and tractors
- Tire repairs and replacement
- Detailing
- Oil Changes
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical issues
- Various metal fabrication duties with preferred welding experience
- Assist with special projects and minor construction
- Ability to operate equipment such as but not limited to tractors, grain carts, skid loaders, forklift and field cultivators.
- Ability to utilize hand and power tools with knowledge of electrical preferred (12v-110v)
- Seasonally assigned as needed with our Row Crop Department hauling grain and/or preparing the fields for Spring and Fall.
- All other duties assigned by manager

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/equivalent
- Valid drivers’ license
- Class A CDL preferred.
- Mechanical and agricultural exposure and experience preferred
Physicality Requirements:
- Required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
- The employee must be able to continuously repeat necessary movements such as bending, lifting and different hand movements as needed to complete tasks.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

- This position may require some tasks to be performed in outside weather
- This position may require exposure to livestock pending the maintenance request.
