McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for a Pharmacy Technician for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include: compounding, documenting, coding and billing of allergy extracts, maintaining inventory of allergy extracts and serums, obtaining prior authorizations for biologic drugs.
For this to be full time hours, time will be split between mixing and working at the reception desk.
Option for this position to be part time if only mixing.
- High School Diploma, GED or HiSET
- Graduate Pharmacy Technician Program
- Pharmacy Technician Certification
Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Excellent keyboard and computer skills required.
- 2 years in drug compounding preferred.
- Experience with medication and infusion prior authorizations preferred.
