Nerve Conduction Technologist (FT) | Neurology | Ames | 2021-050


McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Nerve Conduction Technologist for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: Responsible for performing a broad range of electrodiagnostic procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative to generate and display information for the interpreting physician. Electrodiagnostic procedures include, but are not limited to nerve conduction studies (NCS), evoked potentials (EP), autonomic testing, and other related exams on patients according to established standards and practices in accordance with McFarland Clinic’s Employee-Level Vision Related Behaviors.


  • High School Diploma, GED or HiSET
  • BS or BA in Kinesiology or Biology


  • Certification by the AAET (American Academy of Electrodiagnostic Technicians) or AANEM, or both preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.

Days: Monday – Friday

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


  • Prefer one year work experience doing EMG. Strong computer skills. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
