McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Lab Tech Float for its North Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include: performing laboratory tests classified under CLIA-88 as highly complex, moderately complex or waived, in all sections of the laboratory under minimal supervision in accordance with McFarland Clinic’s Core Values and Promise. May perform high complexity tests as permitted by the CLIA-88 “grandfather” clause.
Float position will cover clinics in Story county.
- Associate degree in medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution and/or successful completion of a recognized course of study in Clinical Laboratory Technology.
- Graduation from an accredited program from Medical Assistants.
- MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
- Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistant (AAMA) or certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologist (AMT).
- Current BCLS certification.
Days: Monday – Friday, Weekends – As needed
Hours: Hours will vary. As needed
- One year clinical experience preferred
