International Sales Specialist- Key Accounts

The Opportunity

A hybrid role that will be responsible for key account management and product sales positioning. This individual will spend half of their time developing and managing relationships with domestic and international key accounts. The remaining time will be spent educating and empowering our International Sales Team and distribution network to understand how to position and sell the Ag Leader full farm solution. You will also work behind the scenes to execute the product marketing strategy through positioning and messaging while providing key market insights to internal teams.

    • Develop and maintain relationships with our key accounts.
    • Provide direct sales support, training, and product information to our key accounts.
    • Collaborate with key accounts to ensure accurate forecasts are being provided and coordinate sales order logistics.
    • Research fair market pricing and negotiate new price lists.
    • Vetting and onboarding of new key account opportunities.
    • Gain a thorough expertise of Ag Leader’s full farm solutions and evangelize through tangible examples of ways they benefit the grower’s operation.
    • Work with Marketing and Product Sales Specialist team to develop product positioning and content that differentiates our products within the international markets.
    • Participate in unique opportunities to tell the Ag Leader story, including podcasts, radio interviews, social media campaigns, etc.
    • Develop sales tools focused on enabling our field sales team and distribution network to show the ROI and value of our full farm solution.
    • Travel to territories to speak at grower meetings, dealer workshops and other events that drive product and industry education.
    • Stay connected with changes in the market and competitive offerings and keep the team informed on opportunities.
    • Partner with Product Management and Tech Support teams to help identify customer problems and how we might solve those problems.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Up to 75% Domestic and International Travel with weekend travel required.

Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or agriculture.
    • 5+ years’ experience in a marketing, sales, or customer-facing role in agriculture.
    • Hands-on experience using precision technology products in a production ag environment.
    • Should be a persuasive and charismatic presenter, comfortable presenting to groups of all sizes as well as on camera.
    • Strong organizational aptitude and ability to manage time effectively.
    • Ability to collaborate with different departments and set proper expectations.
    • Proven success in a product marketing role with go-to-market experience preferred.
    • Willingness to work outside of typical business hours.
