The Opportunity
The Dealer Recruiter will play an integral role in growing Ag Leader’s North American dealer network. As a part of Ag Leader’s Dealer Success Team, this person will be responsible for prospecting, recruiting, and assisting with on-boarding new dealers in key regions. The right person will collaborate with our sales and marketing team in determining key regions to research and develop suspect lists for potential dealer candidates. This person will then meet with dealer prospects to understand their business and determine if they are a fit for an Ag Leader dealership. The Dealer Recruiter will set and manage expectations for new dealer on-boarding and assist in the 1st year development for new dealers, while transferring dealer management responsibilities to the Territory Manager.
The Right Person Will
The Dealer Recruiter will be a highly relational and self-motivated individual, with a passion for networking and developing new relationships. This person will also need to be self-driven, hunter-type mentality, and work well with minimal direction. Organization and attention to detail will be key drivers for success. The person will need to be willing to travel a substantial amount of the time.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a well-researched & vetted dealer suspect list.
- Collaborate with Sales Manager and Territory Manager to determine key recruiting regions.
- Prospect & research opportunities with potential dealers.
- Meet with dealer prospects to understand their business and explore Ag Leader dealership opportunities.
- Develop a business case and pitch the opportunity for taking on an Ag Leader dealership to dealer prospects.
- Manage the onboarding process & communicate expectations to the dealer prospect, including applications, attending New Dealer On-boarding and 1st year dealer experience.
- Work to transition the account to the Territory Manager.
- At least 80% travel is required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience successfully recruiting and developing new dealer prospects.
- Comfortable cold calling dealer prospects.
- Understanding of production agriculture and using precision agriculture systems.
- Microsoft office suite proficient.
- Experience using CRM for managing customer interaction.
- Effective leadership, motivational, organizational and communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and time management skills with ability to multi-task.
- Proven history of positive team collaboration.
