2021 Summer – Corporate Tax Intern


Summary

The Tax Intern is responsible for assisting the Tax Manager in corporate tax matters. This person assists with tax payments, returns, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

Assist in the reconciliation of federal and state corporate income tax returns and sales and use tax returns

Assist in calculation and payment of tax payments

Assist with the Research & Development data gathering and analysis process for tax credit qualification

Research and summarize current tax hot topics

Summarize and reconcile information in spreadsheets as needed

Skills

– Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

– Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement

– The ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment is necessary

– Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines

Experience

– Exposure to tax law preferred

Education

– Must be currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Travel Requirement

– Minimal travel

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

– Minimal travel required
