The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities
As a Part Time Student – Data and Analytics for Deere & Company (Tech Works Ames location) located in Ames, IA, you will... 

Assist the on database creation, maintenance, enhancement, and utilization. 
Ensure data integrity information across platforms. 
Learn and apply data science techniques to audit, clean, transform, validate, and analyze workforce data. 
Automate and optimize repetitive data tasks using scripting or workflow tools.
Design and maintain analytics products and reporting that inform business decisions. 
Ensure strict confidentiality and data protection when handling sensitive information.
Utilize analytics techniques to clean, preprocess, explore, and analyze data sets and extract actionable insights 
 
This position is not available to students on immigration visas. 

What Skills You Need:
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience (others may apply).
Experience with Python and SQL programming languages 
Experience with database management practices
Experience with Microsoft PowerAutomate
School and/or work experience analyzing text and/or numerical data 
High level attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with data visualization and audience saliency concepts 
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work 16-20  hours/week during the academic year 
Available to work 30-40 hours/week during the summer semester
Must be able to commute to the work location in Ames, IA on a daily basis year-round 
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
Graduation date of Spring 2027 or later
