ETREMA Products, Inc. conducts research, development, and manufacture of products utilizing the magnetostrictive alloy, TERFENOL-D. ETREMA has the only facility in the world with the ability to produce commercial quantities of TERFENOL-D.

Although TERFENOL-D was originally designed for sonar, its characteristics have made it ideal for actuators, transducers, vibration control, and micropositioning. Additionally, ETREMA's engineers has assisted customers with the development of sonar transducers on torpedoes, down hole tools that increase oil production, sophisticated valves, injectors for the automobile industry, and relining aged sewer and water pipelines. New applications for TERFENOL-D are continually being discovered and developed.
