The Art and Design Applications team harnesses the power of design thinking to address place-based issues facing Iowa’s communities. We have expertise in the disciplinary knowledge and processes of landscape architecture, architecture, interior design, community planning, art, and historic preservation, which we apply to promote energy efficiency, green building and design, community health and well-being, local food systems, and community building through art.
