Role Overview:

Collins Aerospace is looking for a motivated engineering intern to help us develop and maintain cutting edge airborne radio communications equipment and ancillaries.

As an engineering intern in our airborne communication systems organization, you will work with senior engineering staff to provide support for requirements analysis/decomposition, defining and maintaining interface definitions for communications products and providing hands on support to integration and test efforts with communications products.

Responsibilities include:
Developing and executing system-level tests for Receiver/Transmitter Embedded Software Defined Radios, Remote Control Units, Power Amplifiers, and Low Noise Amplifiers / Triplexers
Developing software tools to support system integration, verification and validation procedures
Working with experienced systems and engineers to troubleshoot and debug systems
The successful candidate will:

Be currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering
Have demonstrated problem solving skills and an understanding of engineering principles
Have experience with at least one programming or scripting language

Be able to effectively interface with multiple different engineering disciples
In addition to these technical skills, the candidate must be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and must be willing to work with a wide variety of people in a diverse team environment.

Basic Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable engineering discipline.
