Job Description:
Vertex Software is actively seeking a Solution Architect to deal directly with customers and be a technical resource in handling data to be used in conjunction with our product. This individual will meet the current and future business needs by designing, developing, and implementing process related strategies and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure and process sensitive customer data for customized demonstrations
  • Provide deep understanding of the Vertex product, working closely with sales and customer success to resolve critical technical issues
  • Provide direct feedback to product managers and engineers to help define new customer-driven features and determine roadmap priorities
  • Keep up on customer requirements and feedback in order to provide ongoing communication back to product management and development teams
  • Present technical and architectural concepts to a variety of audiences, including developers, software architects, product design engineers, and IT professionals
  • Design solutions to meet the customers’ objectives and goals using problem solving skills, technology expertise, and analytical ability
  • Support internal Vertex requests for data manipulation or creation around PLM/PDM/CAD
  • Identify use cases by working with prospects and customers to discover their workflows, processes, and best practices
  • Contribute to business cases by working with sales and marketing for prospects and customers that demonstrate Vertex’s value and ROI
  • Provide technical support to customer success team by ensuring proper technical support for smooth onboarding and beyond
  • Develop and maintain “best practices” policies/procedures for technical implementations
Qualifications Needed:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of technical sales engineering, solution architect, and/or application engineering experience
  • Industry experience with PLM/PDM/CAD software required
  • Solid ability to work with both technical and non-technical groups to facilitate relationships and onboarding of potential customers
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time to meet with customers if necessary
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
