McFarland Clinic is currently accepting application for Oncology Infusion Nurse Supervisor for its Ames location. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include: Direct supervision of infusion nurse staff. Provides direct patient care as indicated including travel to outreach clinic sites. Collaborates with physicians and Director regarding practice needs and efficient effective oncology health care delivery processes. Develops staffing patterns to provide adequate coverage. Responsible for hiring, orientation, training, performance reviews, coaching and performance improvement plans of direct reports. Develop department specific goals and objectives, policies and procedures. Coordinates ongoing development and standardization of infusional regimens for EHR. Communications with industry resp regarding new therapies and education of nursing staff. Assists with the preparation, monitoring and evaluation of department budget.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Possession of Current State Registered Nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
- Oncology Nursing certification or certified eligible and obtain within one year of employment
Days: 4- 10 hour days. Monday – Friday with Saturday rotation.
Hours: 7:30 AM -5:30 PM
- Minimum of 2 years Oncology and infusional nursing experience
