McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for an Office Manager for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include: Oversees the daily operations of the office. Develops departmental specific goals and objectives, policies and procedures. Prepares and monitors the department’s annual budget. Collaborates with department physicians regarding the practice needs, evaluation of new products for the physicians, and assures efficient flow of daily activities of physician offices. Fills in for office needs clinical and reception) on a prn basis. Responsible for involvement in day-to-day concerns and activities of the department(s) as well as short-and long-term planning. Interviews and hires new staff. Develops staffing patterns to provide adequate coverage; evaluates effectiveness of staffing and writes proposals for recommended changes. Evaluates and counsels employees on an ongoing basis. Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, and corrective action procedures. Facilitates departmental problem resolution. Conducts regularly scheduled department meetings (minimum of 6 per year). Interfaces and troubleshoots with other departments. Ensures adequate office space, supplies, equipment are provided and maintained. Oversees operations of facility, including physical plant, telephone system, housekeeping, and grounds maintenance. Manages onsite ancillary services for adequate staff and equipment.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Possession of State Practical Nurse license.
- Possession of State Registered Nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
- Mandatory Reporting of Dependent Adult and Child Abuse.
Days: Monday – Friday. Occasional evening hour and early morning meeting requirements.
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1 year management experience preferred.
