Position Description

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting application for Float Nursing Supervisor for its Ames location. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: Provide nursing coverage in providers’ offices in various specialties. Provide direct supervision and management of the float nursing staff in Patient Care Services. Oversee the Patient Care Services scheduler. Eligible for $2/hour shift differential after 90 days.


  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing


  • Possession of Current State Registered Nurse license.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • Mandatory Reporting

Days: Monday – Friday. Occasionally will provide coverage on evenings and weekends in Urgent Care or Express Care.

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • 3 years Ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
