Description: Metabolic Technologies, Inc. (MTI) has an open position for a laboratory intern within
Heartland Assays. MTI is a research-driven company that is dedicated to the development of credible, safe, and effective nutritional products. We also provide clinical and laboratory research support for the specific products developed. Heartland Assays' mission is to provide cutting-edge analytics, robust methodologies, and precise, accurate results for their clientele.
The successful candidate will be conducting laboratory research and testing on biochemically and physiologically derived products that enhance health, performance, and well-being. Duties will include treatment preparation, data entry, and data analysis. In addition, the intern will assist the analytical chemists in the laboratory with the preparation of biological and food samples for analysis by LS/MS/MS, HPLC, and
GCMS. The intern will also gain experience in analytical method development and will be responsible for maintaining ISO 17025 records.
Requirements: The position requires an academic major in either nutrition, chemistry, biology, or a related field. Previous experience with laboratory techniques, such as general wet chemistry, HPLC, GCMS, or ELISA is essential but not required. Basic computer skills,
good communication skills (including preparation of lab reports), and attention to detail are required.
Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
