Job Description:
Vertex Software is actively seeking a proven Inside Sales Manager to develop, execute, and grow an inside sales function and team. This individual will set the vision and strategy to identify, develop, and expand revenue opportunities as our Inside Sales model ramps.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop relationships with key prospects, clients, and end-users to nurture and grow users of Vertex Software
  • Monitor actual sales and sales leads, keep track of sales results, and generate reports for executive leadership that details sales forecasting, goals, and results
  • Hire, train, motivate, and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for the inside sales team
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales goals for the inside sales team
  • Measure the performance of the inside sales team and recommend improvements to the existing sales processes to Marketing and Sales leadership
Qualifications Needed:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, listening, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, time management, leadership, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to motivate and coach sales employees, generate change, and work with a diverse group of individuals to achieve results
  • Ability to demonstrate a technical understanding and engage in conversations related to the manufacturing and engineering industry
  • Proven success at building out an inside sales function including:
    • Hiring and training an inside sales team
    • Evaluating and implementing sales processes and procedures
    • Creating and managing a sales department budget
    • Developing and analyzing sales reports
    • Generating new sales and retaining existing customers within the context of the Vertex sales process
  • Salesforce Lightning CRM experience preferred
