Job Description:
Vertex Software is actively seeking an experienced, results-oriented Enterprise Account Manager to manage all sales and relationship aspects of our largest existing and targeted accounts in the manufacturing industry. This individual will set the vision and strategy to identify, develop, and expand opportunities for additional business within their accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and execute short and long-term strategic account plans including outlining initiatives to meet target bookings for both named and new key accounts
  • Identify key decision-makers and influencers, then build and develop meaningful business relationships for future Vertex software revenue growth
  • Gain a complete understanding of the customer’s operational structure, engineering organization, purchasing processes, and investment rationale
  • Gain a complete understanding of the customer’s supply chain and work with appropriate group to target key suppliers for seat expansion in coordination with Vertex sales management
  • Coordinate and manage all client discovery, needs, and analysis activities both on and off-site.
  • Partner closely with sales, IT, security, procurement, and other business functions to develop ongoing engagement strategy with key accounts to drive revenue goals
  • Assess and understand customer needs to provide individualized solutions that drive software sales
  • Deliver software demonstrations which clearly articulate the advantages and value-adds of Vertex software solution
  • Maintain customer information by entering information into Salesforce for the purpose of managing the business relationships with current customers and for developing prospects
  • Contribute to critical functions associated with fulfilling the sales cycle (forecasting, reporting, Salesforce maintenance, correspondence, and communications)
  • Achieve or exceed performance goals
  • Ability to travel between 50-85% of the time
Qualifications Needed:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of manufacturing industry related key account management and sales experience
  • 5+ years of outside software B2B sales experience preferred
  • Industry experience with PLM/PDM/CAD software required
  • Salesforce Lightning CRM experience preferred
  • Proven track record of creating revenue generating opportunities and quota attainment
  • Proven ability to understand and successfully promote technical offerings and solution sets
  • Ability to maintain a high level of activity, and effectively manage competing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a complex changing customer environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and professional demeanor
  • Experience working remotely and navigating the intricacies of large key accounts
