Where the Chemistry Happens…Documents and Training Coordinator – Ames, IowaThis role is responsible for updating and organizing the documentation used by the Production team, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) and checklists. This role is also responsible for coordinating, documenting, and delivering training to the Production personnel at the site. In addition, the role will also be responsible for coordinating and executing continuous improvement initiatives in the Production area. The following skills and abilities will be used in your daily duties:The ability to lead and motivate learners by appealing to the characteristics of adult learners.The ability to assess training needs, translate job requirements into training requirements, and organize instructional material both during development and in presentations.Active listening, clear communication, training, coaching, and developing personnel.Ability to appraise performance, including assessing training results.The ability to identify issues and problem solve.Networking skills to help get all others to support the area’s training activities, including the ability to encourage and improve the level of engagement within their team.Maintain site SOPs and training certification systems for Production employees. Support safe, reliable performance of duties by ensuring that units/departments comply with Site, Corporate, Quality and regulatory standards related to operating procedures, and MOCs (Management of Change). Development of key performance indicator’s for the tracking and reporting of training and continuous improvement performance. Evaluate proposed changes for impact on EHS performance and compliance. Maintain, update, and audit SOPs, training documents, and EHS programs as necessary to meet site document and training needs. Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
- An Associate’s degree in a technical field is required.
- 5 years of manufacturing experience required.
- 2 years of experience writing and amending standard operating procedures, checklists, jobs aids required.
- 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in any field.
- Experience in liquid mixing and packaging with a manufacturing environment preferred.
- 5S and Lean Six Sigma certifications and practical experience preferred.
- Experience creating training content and delivering training preferred.
