​An Iowa State University Research Park-based startup that aggregates available farmland for sale launched for public use Tuesday.

Terva uses publicly available farmland data such as aerial maps, recent sales and corn suitability ratings in one interface to help farmers make decisions when buying land and alerts them when new plots become available. It also works to connect potential buyers or renters with agricultural realtors.

​Representatives of McFarland Clinic, LilyPad Learning Center, ISU Research Park, Ames Chamber of Commerce, Woodruff Construction, LLC and Roseland, Mackey, Harris Architects PC broke ground May 11 for McFarland Clinic’s newest Ames location at the ISU Research Park. LilyPad Learning Center, with locations in Huxley and Madrid, will lease 9,300 square feet of space in the new McFarland facility and begin offering new childcare programs in Ames.

Research Park, local businesses kick off busy summer of construction

​McFarland Clinic broke ground on its new south Ames location Thursday, kicking off a busy summer of construction and commercial activity in the Iowa State University Research Park this summer.

The 33,000-square-foot building is set to open in summer 2018 and will add sports medicine to the clinic’s current offerings around the city. McFarland Clinic is also leasing some of the building to Lily Pad Learning Center, a day care and preschool program based out of Huxley.
